bellies!!!

lately, i feel like everything i do is all about my belly... i bump things (and people... sorry!) with it, try to get dressed around it, sleep with it propped up on a pillow, and pretty much just try to keep my baby girl comfortable in there! and although she acts like she has all the room in the world in there (she bounces and flips around like it's no big deal... meanwhile my ribs and tailbone are killing me because of it. and not to mention my bladder... nevermind, i won't go there) i'm feeling like she is quickly running out of room... i mean, how much more can my skin stretch?!? anyway, i just thought i'd post a few more belly pictures... the first one is of my friend courtney and i a few weeks ago... she is 33 weeks here and i'm 30 weeks... did i mention we have like 13 girls in our ward who are pregnant? yea... church is about to get real loud.

and here's my quick belly shot at 32 weeks. and ps... can i just say that i hate "phone in the mirror" pictures?? and here i am... phone in the mirror. but in my defense... i'm home by myself 95% of the time... my poor hubs is so busy with school and work and by the time he gets home at night, i'm already in my pj's not looking picture worthy... so phone in the mirror pictures it is for now... enjoy.

How far along? 32 weeks (well, 33 now that i'm posting this)
Total weight gain: blah 25 lbs.
Maternity clothes? yep. sometimes i can get lucky and wear regular jeans but the whole stretchy waist thing is so much more comfy right now.
Stretch marks? no... and i hope it stays that way.
Sleep: eh... it depends.
Best moment this week: going to the dr to find out that i haven't gained any wieght the past 4 weeks! go me! and don't worry, bambina is still perfectly healthy... and while my dr was checking her heartbeat, she decided that right at that moment she was going to show off her gymnastics/karate skills... and made both the dr and the nurse go "whoa!!!" made me giggle. that silly little show off.
Miss Anything? just being myself.
Movement: yes... austin is convinced she is going to be a boxer.
Food cravings: coke. regular coke. can i find anything else to pack on more calories?? geez.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope.
Gender: my sweet little bambina.
Labor Signs: back pain. constant back pain.
Symptoms: heartburn.
Belly Button in or out? in. well, it depends on the time of day. but it's either in or flat.
Wedding rings on or off? on.
Happy or Moody? eh... i'd say mostly happy. a little moody.

next up... baby shower pictures :)

tricks and treats

this is one of my absolute favorite days of the year... i love love love halloween!
this year, we:

went to see thriller at tuacahn down in st.george. it was amazing! i didn't really know what i was getting into when i bought the tickets... and neither did austin. the entire thing was dancing ha ha! but it was so fun! lots of cool halloween dances, yummy hot chocolate and zombies everywhere! they would walk around the audience and pretty much scare the crap out of you... or eat your popcorn... or play with your hair... or sit next to you and share your blanket with you... if we go see it again, i definitely won't be sitting in an isle seat!

carved pumpkins (or should i say austin carved it... i wasn't too into it this year. plus, i was a little preoccupied)

i made homemade cinnamon rolls for the first time! yum!! (this is why i couldn't carve pumpkins... i was slaving away in the kitchen making these bad boys... and let me tell you, they were delicious! thanks em for the yummy recipe)

and of couse we dressed up! i've totally dictated our costumes these past 2 years... but it's a little tough to find a cute costume while pregnant... so here's what we were:

skeletons!! (babe, don't hate me for putting this picture up cause your eyes are totally closed... it's really the costumes that i'm trying to get at here ;) )

no hiding for my baby girl on halloween

we even dressed up at work!

well, there you have it... happy halloween from the hunt's!

pretty fall...

anyone that knows me know that fall is my absolute favorite time of year... the pretty fall leaves, the cooler air, pumpkin everything, boots and scarves, hot chocolate... i could go on and on.

all these things really make me miss new england... especially when it's this time of year and i'm missing the prettiest fall you'll ever see. i'm pretty sure a good portion of my mission pictures are of pretty trees and fall leaves... and not to mention my huge bag full of leaves i collected while tracting. some day, some fall season i'll get back there... but for now, i'll share a few pictures of the best season ever:

brandon, vermont.

west rutland, vermont.

essix, vermont.

lake bomoseen, vermont.

and this last picture i just had to put up... this little shop has the best pumpkin ice cream ever. i'm pretty sure every wednesday when we would go up to brandon, vermont i would have to stop and get some yummy pumpkin ice cream... yummm.

and... can i just mention that i'm suuuuper excited for halloween!!! it's definitely my favorite holiday and once again, i'm making my husband dress up :) i'm pretty sure he hates that i get really into it and totally dictate his costume every year... but it's so much fun i just can't help myself! and next year, i'll have my little bambina to dress up too! makes me excited just thinking about it!
here's a picture from last halloween... and yes, austin is in tights ;) he loves me.

next up: halloweeeeeeeen post! :)

playing catch up... again.

so... i've been trying not to neglect my blog as much lately... but i'm not very good at it. life just keeps on getting in the way. but here is a teeny little update:

the hunt's came up to visit... we went to the shakespeare festival and saw les miserables. it. was. amazing.

i snapped this quick picture at 25 weeks before we left for st.george to go to the temple. my sister-in-law took out her endowments for her big day :)

my beautiful sister-in-law michelle got married in the st.george temple. (more pictures to come)
welcome to the fam, tyson :)

the hunt's. (poor lex, 1 day out of knee surgery. what a trooper.)

the hubs and i.

and here are some of my current cravings. such is the life of a pregnant girl.

spaghetti, or sketti, as i call it. normally i hate spaghetti... and when i say hate, i mean i really hate spaghetti. but lately, i could eat it every single day. and my poor hub... he hates spaghetti too... his exact words to me the last time i tried to buy spaghetti stuff at the store were, "babe, let me tell you something ... spaghetti is the frickin' worst!!!" i almost cried. but i compromised... i took half the hamburger meat to put in my sauce and gave him the other half to make a hamburger. that's fair, right?

mountain dew. this was always around growing up... my step dad loves this stuff. and i've always been a diet coke addict... until this baby came along. i want nothing to do with diet coke. all i want it mountain dew. all day. every day. bambina is going to come out needing this stuff in her bottle.

apple jacks. or any cereal for that matter... but apple jacks are my favorite. i go to bed thinking about breakfast... and the first thing i think about when i wake up is having apple jacks for breakfast.

chili's. this one kills austin. i recently discovered their crispy chicken crispers... not the regular nasty ones... and i want them all the time. with extra ranch. austin wants me to have a little bit cheaper of a craving next pregnancy... like taco bell, or little caesars 5 buck pizza. those were his suggestions. i hope baby #2 is listening.

strawberry banana smoothies. this is the newest one. i don't even care where it's from, as long as it's strawberry banana.

alright, my last little bit is a 4d picture of our sweet (but stubborn) baby girl. last weekend, i got the opportunity to be a model (yea, who wants a pregnant lady for a model?) for an ultrasound convention. a company was demo-ing their new ultrasound machine on fetal heart development so a friend and i got to have our bellies (or babies, whatever.) scanned. when they were setting everything up before the doctor got there, they scanned my belly to see baby girls heart. she was in the perfect position so that they could see everything they needed to see... then i swear once the doctor got there... flip! she totally turned so he couldn't see anything. ugh... little turd. so my friend got to be the one they used... which was fine with me, we both got paid for it anyway... but what a stubborn little girl! Then when the doctor was done, they let us stay to get some 4d pictures of our babies... and of course, bambina was all ready for her photo shoot then.

here she is... her sweet little face... and her arm resting on half of it with her hand on her forehead (which you can't see). she gets that from austin... that's how he sleeps. and her poor little pug nose she gets from me. i had the worst pug nose when i was born... luckily it went down before i could remember.

well, that's it for now. maybe i'll get around to taking a current belly picture... 11 more weeks to go!

don't worry, we're from here

this past weekend, austin and i stayed at a hotel on the strip in las vegas. yea, yea, i know... we're from there. we know. but it was actually kinda fun to be a tourist... sorta. we stayed at the grandview hotel... it's a little off the strip, but it was super nice. we started off our friday night with this yummy pizza... at midnight. you can thank the pregnant girl for that idea.

then on saturday, we got up and went to the temple and then went baby furniture shopping with my mom all day. i'm sure austin had the time of his life. then that night we went to dinner with some of our favorite friends, liz and dustin. if any of you haven't been to the sugar factory, you should go. well worth it. yummy food. bomb desserts. delicious.

don't worry, my husband would be a total gambler if he could be. and a total tourist.

then... we decided to really be tourists and walk the strip... okay, we only went to the m&m factory and the coca cola factory... and got cokes in glass bottles... naturally.

sunday. church day. family time. here are some recent belly pictures... 21 weeks... yay! and don't worry, alexa's was just a food baby. hers went away in an hour... and she'll still be able to button her jeans. i kissed those days goodbye. but baby girl will be worth it :)

How far along? 21 weeks
Total weight gain: holy 15 lbs.
Maternity clothes? not really. i own some, but most of mine still fit. but the whole "button and zip" thing... negative.
Stretch marks? no thank the lord.
Sleep: i can sleep pretty good.
Best moment this week: getting baby girl's furniture :)
Miss Anything? just being myself.
Movement: she kicks and punches me almost daily.
Food cravings: spaghetti. and i hate spaghetti.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope.
Gender: a pretty little "she" :)
Labor Signs: none.
Symptoms: none really, just tired sometimes
Belly Button in or out? in.
Wedding rings on or off? on.
Happy or Moody? eh... i'd say mostly happy. a little moody.

one year... check!

austin and i made it a whole year being married... can you believe it! i know everyone says this, but it really did fly by. i feel like i was just running around like a crazy trying to get all my wedding details in line... and now here we are, married for a year with a little bambina on the way :) it's been such a fun year and i wouldn't have wanted to spend it with anyone else!
so to celebrate our whopping one year of marriage, we dicided to take a last minute trip to california. we stayed with our friends ken and lindsay and their cute little baby liv in pasadena... on saturday we thought we'd go down to huntington beach for a little while and just walk around the shops and have lunch... holy cow was i wrong. the us open surf competition was there that weekend and i swear it was like nyc on new year's eve... minus clothing. tons... and i mean tons of practically naked drunk girls running around everywhere... i could be safe in saying we were a little overdressed. and by overdressed, i mean austin was in shorts and a t-shirt and i was in capri's and a t-shirt. and... with all the girls in itsy bitsy bikini's, i totally could've rocked my prego belly in one and no one would've even noticed. not that i did, but the thought crossed my mind. so we snagged a table by the bar at bj's restuarant (which, by the way, we probably said about 5 words to each other the whole time it was so dang loud in there) and ate lunch, poked our heads in maybe 2 stores and gave up. i'm glad we paid 20 bucks to park in that mess.
after that whole mess, we headed up to la to go to a dodgers game. neither one of us are dodgers fans (or cubs fan for that matter) but i've never been to a baseball game and austin's never been to the dodger stadium so we decided to go.

it ended up being a lot of fun... and our seats weren't bad at all... and of course, what's a baseball game without all the junk food? dodger dogs, nachos, sodas, and frozen yogurt. super healthy i know.
and ps. don't mind my belly... little bambina decided she wants to be seen all the time now...

then on sunday we headed to church with ken and lindsay then went down to santa monica beach to hang out for a while...

we headed back to vegas on monday (our actual anniversary) and went to dinner at one of our favorite places geisha house

and for tradition, we had to have a piece of our year old wedding cake.

and just in case it wasn't good (which it actually wasn't bad) we got a new one from nothing bundt cakes

well, there ya have it... here's to forever my love :)
