Little fishie

for my birthday weekend, austin, chandler and i took a little trip down to vegas. my birthday always falls on college spring break (which is perfect for austin... and me!) so we decided to take advantage of the nice weather down there for a few days. we had some friends come down with us (their baby girl is just a week and a half older then chandler) so we started our weekend off at a place called hot n juicy crawfish. austin had seen it on man vs food a while back and has been wanting to try it... oh man, courtney and i did not know what we were in for! i'll explain how it works... so first off, the tables are covered in plastic... and you get a plastic bib when you sit down (should've been our first clue). so you order your fish... i got shrimp, austin got clams, eric got crawfish, and courtney... well, courtney got the chicken nugget basket ha ha... but after you pick your fish, you pick your seasoning... then you can add on fries or corn or whatever you want... then... when your food is ready... they bring it to you in a bag! 

and can i just tell you, when i ordered the shrimp, i thought i was getting the normal little shrimp tails... oh no... you get the whole entire shrimp! picking apart the shrimp is not what i had in mind... i don't like to work for my food. but it was actually really good! and a really fun experience.

after that, we decided to go to the red rock hotel to hang out by the pool...

poor chandler... she's still struggling to fit into her clothes... and the bathing suit was the same ordeal... what a little string bean. she didn't like the water at first... but after she sat there for a few minutes, she kinda forgot that she was half way in the water and just looked around.

these two would not cooperate to take a picture together... but they were still so cute that it didn't even matter :)

the boys took a stroll in the pool... and snuck in a little nap too... lucky!

i'm so happy we got to take chandler to the pool... and that courtney, eric and mia got to come down to vegas with us for the weekend... more to come with our weekend birthday trip soon!
